Little Silver is 15 miles away from our location and easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway. It has a population of over 5,900 and is approximately 3.3 square miles in size.
The town is believed to have obtained its name from the Parker brothers who inhabited the area in 1667 and dubbed their holdings “Little Silver” after their father’s Portsmouth, RI estate – affiliated to Little Silver, England.
Many locals use the historic Little Silver Train station, built in 1875 and added in 1984 to the National Register of Historic Places.
